Best Canned Rosé 2024

You know I love a rosé and I love a trend, so coming up with a short list of some of my favorite canned rosés perfect for this season just made sense.

I know what you may be thinking.  Canned rose may fall into the “trashy” category for you, but I gotta be honest, whenever I have a little get together, especially outside, and stock my cooler with all different beverages, most of my friends will gravitate towards the rosés in the can vs. opening up an entire bottle.

There are definitely some canned rosés out there that taste like metal – in my opinion – but there are some really tasty and refreshing options out there that I think rival just about any bottle of rosé on the market.

Why Is Canned Rosé So Popular Now?

While drinking out of the can may not be for everyone, canned rosés have become increasingly popular in recent years for a few different reasons:

  1. Convenience: Canned rosés are a portable and lightweight option that are easy to take on the go, whether it’s to a picnic, beach day, or other outdoor activity.  Plus, you can cram a bunch of these into your cooler, more so than individual glass bottles.

  2. Cost: A lot of times, buying in the can is often more affordable than bottled wines, making them a great choice for those of us on a budget or when you need to buy a ton for a party you’re hosting.

  3. Sustainability: Many canned rosés are made with recyclable materials, making them a more environmentally-friendly option compared to traditional glass bottles.

  4. Trendiness: Since everyone is basically living on TikTok and Instagram, this has 100% contributed to the growing popularity of canned rosés, with so many influencers and celebrities promoting them on their own handles.  Can you blame the Kardashians?  Maybe.

Overall, canned rosés offer a fun and trendy option for wine drinkers who are looking for a convenient and affordable way to enjoy a refreshing glass of wine – on the go.

Below you’ll find my personal picks for the best canned rosés you can buy right now, along with one that – well – I really don’t love.

The Tiamo Organic Rose in the can is made from organic Pinot Grigio grapes and a small amount of organic Merlot grapes, which are carefully selected and harvested all by hand. The wine has a beautiful pink color and a refreshing, fruity flavor that is perfect for summer or any time of year when it warms up a bit.

One of the unique features of Tiamo Organic Rose canned wine is that it is packaged in a lightweight, recyclable can that is easy to transport and perfect for just about anything outdoor – from the beach to picnics, bbqs – you name it.  This makes it a great choice for wine lovers who want to enjoy a glass of wine without the hassle of carrying a heavy glass bottle.

Overall, this canned rose is made using traditional winemaking techniques, and is free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. It is also vegan-friendly and gluten-free, making it a popular pick for those of us who have to deal with some of those issues or are just going the vegan route.

What Does It Taste Like?

ON THE NOSE

  • It has a refreshing and fruity flavor with notes of red berries, citrus, and hints of floral aromas on the nose.

ON THE PALATE

  • Crisp and dry taste with flavors of strawberry, raspberry, and a touch of mineral.

Overall it’s not going to be overpowering or too fruity so hopefully it keeps a case of the headaches away!

Pros & Cons

WHAT I LOVED:

  • Made with sustainably farmed, organic grapes and free from synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers.
  • Vegan-friendly and gluten-free, making it a great choice for people with dietary restrictions.
  • Refreshing and fruity flavor with notes of red berries, citrus, and hints of floral aromas.

JUST A HEADS-UP

  • While I really enjoy this one, it’s not quite as flavorful or complex as some higher-end rosés, but still a great pick.

Founded in 2013 by Erica Blumenthal and Nikki Huganir, the Yes Way Rosé brand actually started as an Instagram account that basically just uploaded inspirational images of rosé and quickly went viral almost overnight.

The brand’s signature product is its own rosé canned wine (although they have bottles too, of course), which is produced in partnership with a vineyard in the south of France.

This delicious canned rosé has notes of strawberry, citrus, and white peach and, while the alcohol content is on the lower side (under 12%) it still does the trick to help you unwind on those fun summer nights.

What Does It Taste Like?

ON THE NOSE

  • On the nose you’ll easily pick up tantilizing notes of fruity strawberry, refreshing citrus, and sweet white peach.

ON THE PALATE

  • Yes Way Rosé in the can still has a refreshing acidity with flavors of raspberry, strawberry, and a hint of minerality.

While most find this canned must-have to have a  light body with a dry finish, I actually find it to have more of a light-to-medium body.  Either way, it’s still a crisp and refreshing wine with a fruit-forward profile that is perfect for summertime sipping.

Pros & Cons

WHAT I LOVED:

  • It has a fruit-forward profile without being too fruity.
  • The price per can is pretty decent compared to some other canned wines.
  • It’s a fun canned wine for pairing with light, summery foods like salads or grilled seafood, but you really can sip it with basically anything.

JUST A HEADS-UP

  • The alcohol content is on the lower side compared to some other similar rosé brands, so while that’s not a bad thing, it may take you a bit longer to get that rosé buzz you’re planning for.
  • Yes, it’s all over social media so you may find it to be a bit of an eye-roll at this point, but it’s still a really tasty and fun canned rose.

House Wine Canned Rosé is one of the most popular canned wines that’s part of the House Wine brand, which was founded in Walla Walla, Washington in 2004. Their rosé is made from a blend of grapes sourced from several different vineyards in Washington state, and is actually really refreshing and tasty.  Plus, the can is just plain old cool.

I found this one to have notes of watermelon and strawberry, with flavors of red fruit and a hint of citrus on the palate. Overall it’s a light and crisp wine with a slightly sweet finish.  I’m always a sucker for any rose that has an spec of watermelon because nothing says “outdoors” and “summer” quite like it!

These come in 375-milliliter cans, which is equivalent to half a bottle of wine, and each can contains about two and a half servings.  So, with a little math, I figured out that two cans will give you one standard bottle of wine.  Just a heads up!

What Does It Taste Like?

ON THE NOSE

  • On the nose, this one definitely has notes of strawberry and refreshing watermelon (my personal fave).

ON THE PALATE

  • You’ll discover flavors of red fruits like raspberry, strawberry, and cherry, with a hint of citrus that adds a refreshing acidity.

Overall, it’s a truly light-bodied wine with a slightly sweet finish and a crisp acidity that makes it pretty easy to drink.

Pros & Cons

WHAT I LOVED:

  • I really dig the watermelon notes, making it light and refreshing with a touch of fruitiness.
  • 2 cans = 1 bottle, so the buzz factor comes quickly (a pro and a con, I guess).

JUST A HEADS-UP

  • It may be a little too sweet for some.
  • Don’t forget that 2 cans = 1 bottle, so sip cautiously.

Underwood Rosé Bubbles in a can is a fun and convenient way to enjoy a sparkling rosé on the go.

Upon opening the can, you’ll notice the effervescence and the delicate aroma of fresh strawberries watermelon, with a hint of pink grapefruit.

Overall this one is well-balanced with a pleasant sweetness that doesn’t overpower the wine’s acidity.

The bubbles are fine and persistent, creating a velvety texture on the palate. The wine has a light body, making it a perfect choice for a refreshing drink on a warm day or as a party beverage.

And when it comes to figuring how how many glasses are in the can, based on a 5 ounce pour this can give you about 2 glasses.

What Does It Taste Like?

Overall, Underwood Rosé Bubbles a delightful wine that showcases the fresh and fruity flavors of a traditional rosé, but with the added fun and convenience of being packaged in a can. Bring it with you just about anywhere you go.

Pros & Cons

WHAT I LOVED:

  • Convenient and easy to carry, perfect for outdoor activities and events.
  • Refreshing and crisp, with lively flavors and fine bubbles.

JUST A HEADS-UP

  • May not appeal to those who prefer more complex or full-bodied wines.
  • I personally think the can rocks, but some may find it not suitable for more upscale events.

Biagio Cru Rose All Day is a really fun canned rosé wine that offers a refreshing and fruity taste that is perfect for summertime sipping. It’s made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault, and Syrah grapes, which are sourced from vineyards in the south of France.  Oh la la!

On the nose, Biagio Cru Rose All Day offers aromas of fresh strawberries and raspberries, with a hint of citrus. On the palate, the wine has a crisp acidity that is balanced by its fruit-forward profile, with flavors of red berries and a subtle hint of minerality.

What Does It Taste Like?

ON THE NOSE

  • You’ll quickly discover fresh strawberries and raspberries, with a slight hint of citrus to help balance it out.

ON THE PALATE

  • You’ll get red berries (raspberry and strawberry) and a subtle hint of minerality.

This canned sensation is truly a light and easy-to-drink wine that has a slightly sweet finish, making it a perfect choice for those who prefer a sweeter style of rosé.

Pros & Cons

WHAT I LOVED:

  • It’s definitely more of a fruity and sweet canned rosé, so I love it for just having one or two on a night out or, yes, even during the day.

JUST A HEADS-UP

  • I don’t find it “too sweet” but it’s not really a canned rosé in which you can throw back 4 cans without feeling like it ends up being “too sweet.”

Ok, so here we have it.  I know that Babe Rosé is all over “the ‘gram” and whatnot and I’ve drank endless cans of this over the past couple of years, but I gotta be honest – personally – I don’t love it.  I know, I know.

Hear me out.  It’s definitely not a “bad” rosé I just feel like there was so much hype around it and it was plastered all over social (and on the Real Housewives) that I really wanted it to be way more than it is (in my opinion).  It’s not overly special and there are plenty of other canned rosés in my list that I personally find to be tastier and less, well, offensive.

Either way, you may want to try this one for yourself and not take my word for it as wines are surely subjective.  So here are my overall thoughts on how this one tastes and what you can expect from it.

On the nose, Babe Rosé with Bubbles has aromas of fresh strawberries, raspberries, and peaches, with a subtle hint of citrus. On the palate, the wine has a crisp acidity that is balanced by its fruit-forward profile, with flavors of red berries and a subtle hint of minerality. If you like sparkling, you’ll love the bubbles that do add a nice effervescence to the wine.  It’s fun, for sure.

What Does It Taste Like?

ON THE NOSE

  • Fresh strawberries, raspberries, and peaches, with a subtle hint of citrus.

ON THE PALATE

  • Red berries and a subtle hint of minerality.

Pros & Cons

WHAT I LOVED:

  • I love a sparkling, so a canned rosé with bubbles is something I tend to lean towards, and the bubbles in this one are pretty perfect.
  • The can is pretty cool and a good convo starter when you’re out and about.

JUST A HEADS-UP

  • I bucket this one into the “the more you drink it the better it tastes” category.
